To be or not to be - Content

I was talking to someone today & something he said that left me thinking even after I hung up. 'As soon as you are content you stop growing', these were the words. Left me wondering ...I somehow did not agree. I think one could be both content & aspire for higher goals in life.

I agree with you Traveller! And I can relate very "deeply" with your sentiments. If I eat just 2 chappati's and feel content - my waist stops growing! I think I should eat more. Bannana & lemon juice? How about experimenting with some chicken biryani and mirchi ka saalan?

LOL @ pointy..getting your way via blog world i see..anyways traveller I think I agree with your friend..being content sometimes makes you passive or smug that you stop striving for higher goals..in a way you cease to grow as you settle in your comfort zone & forget to experiment & learn..ofcourse materiastically content is a good thing and i dont think your friend was talking abt that.

Wookie, liked ur idea of not getting into (comfort zone & forget experimenting). But if one is not content with the present, may end up restless all thru ones' life. It reminds me of this line...' Saagar mere paas hai par mujhe ek boond ki pyaas hai'. Hope u know hindi.
