Traveller - my fav foodie joint is.. well there are so many. In Hyd - I loved the masala dosas of Kamat, the Andhra meals of Abhiruchi, the Bhatturas of Havmor, Pani puri from Sindhi colony, Sweets from Pulla Reddy, Pastries at Universal, Chat at Gokul, Pav Bhajji at Shalimar, Chinese at Nan King. In Bng - Meals at Nagarjuna, Biryani at Deccani Degh, Pastries at Sweet Chariot, Ice cream at corner house, dosa at AAB. I could go on.. And in the US - its, the Cheesecake factory for what else cheese cakes & PF Changs for chinese. I think thats enough for now.

My wife loved that mississippi mudpie wookie.. it worked wonders on her.... Pointy have not been to hyd.. but will surely try at least one of the joints esp for the Biryani.. have heard so much bout the fabled biryanis from hyd.. but guess what ! the hydrabadis should try some of the biryanis from Kerala.. they are spicy, nutty and Scrumptious. Next time you find yourself in the US , try some of the chocolate brownies from Starbucks....my wife's been there and she claims that when they heat it up a lil for you ..that stuff practically melts in your mouth. One of our favorite joints in Blr is good old Koshy's... nothin ..absolutely nothin beats the Korean Fried Fish at koshy's with a side of nice and cool Kingfisher!! paradise on earth for the consumate foodie thats me!!

Hey Pointy, Pinx - This is indeed a small world. You know, I started my career in Pune. Was there for about a year n half. Loved the street food joints there. Amazing fare.

Rohit, c wat u hv missed inspite of being in Blr for so many yrs.next weekend @ NanKing?

Wookie...sure u know nothing about cooking yet?BTW thx about the leads...keep updating as n when u try new ones. The best part u had also mentioned the specific dish to be tried.

Pointy, next time u r in Hyd try out some of the delicious pastries, tarts n cookies @ Karachi Bakery @Banjara Hills. And if u like trying out various Dosas try Mint Dosa @Chutneys? N no one makes Rawa Dosa as good as Kamat in Hyd. There is a place called 'Dossaz' in Hyd, they hv about atleast 20types of dosa.
So Pointy u know a lot about Hyd n Blr as well...hmm let me think...

Pinx, where to find Kerala style Biryani in Blr. Tried in Vayanaad, it was not gr8.

I need to rush n grab something to eat right away..wat a 'calorie-full' discussion !!

traveller - i do know a few things abt cooking, the problem is that at this point in life i am not motivated enough to cook. you see if i had a jamie oliver or a jun tanaka (of 'cooking it' fame) tutoring me - it would be a diff story :D

Hey...not a single recipe from global audience?!
